Security
Access to AccountScout is controlled through establishing user accounts and permissions. Defining a User account includes specifying user logins and passwords, as well as associating a set of permissions. A Role is typically defined for each different set of permissions needed for your various types of users, such as sales rep, bookkeeper and manager.
Associating meaningful permissions with users provides the dual benefit of controlling, as well as customizing, access. For example, the Role for a Sales Rep User can be customized to enable functions pertinent to Advertiser and Order entry and not those related to billing. Every user transaction entered, such as payments and orders, is date and time stamped with username. Should you need to audit activity, many reports can be generated to show date and time stamp.
